Cleiber Sanchez
Cleiber is 41 years old and has been working with coffee for 30 years, helping his
Dad at a young age. He planted his own fields 20 years ago.
The processing is done by Cleiber and his family, involving his young kids like his
father did with him. Cleiber takes care of the coffee by cleaning the fields, pruning,
managing the shade, fertilising and fumigating to control leaf rust. The earnings
Cleiber receives from coffee get reinvested in the coffee itself and to cover the
family needs since coffee is his main or only source of income. Every year he keeps
60kg of coffee for family and to share with friends who don’t have coffee.
